The curriculum at this level is built around the framework of the National Curriculum guidelines, which we take as a starting point. We take every opportunity to exceed the national average while continuing to emphasise the development of literacy and numeracy skills. Specialist teachers continue throughout Key Stage 1 and there is a good staff-pupil ratio that is beneficial to our more personalised learning programme.
Our SENDCo and her team ensures that we stretch and challenge appropriately with our Gifted and Talented programme. Similarly, those pupils who need additional support are given the option of one-to-one tuition, or specialist dyslexia tuition.
