Community Partnerships

Oaklands School and The Oak-Tree Group of Schools are actively committed to supporting local and national organisations to create a positive impact in our community. We strive to enrich and inspire our neighbours through charity days, volunteering and sporting collaborations.

Through our charity partners our pupils gain insightful first-hand experience with various issues, motivating them to drive change within their community.

Oaklands Funky Hair Day for the Little Princess Trust

As a school we recently celebrated Funky Hair Day, a vibrant event to support The Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides wigs to children experiencing hair-loss, particularly whilst undergoing cancer treatment.

This fun-filled day was inspired by Christopher in Year 3, who donated his own hair to the charity earlier this year, showing incredible generosity and bravery.

Pupils came to school sporting an array of creative hairstyles. The enthusiasm and creativity displayed by everyone was truly impressive, reflecting the school’s commitment to making a difference.

Through their participation, pupils not only enjoyed a day of self-expression but also contributed to a meaningful cause, raising over £200 to support children in need.

We are immensely proud of the children and their dedication to helping others, making this event a memorable success.

The Oak-Tree Group Sporting Collaborations

As a group, we enjoy working with local partners including a variety of sports clubs and facilities. We are open to suggestions for further collaboration, within the limits of the Group’s resources.

Our schools make use of multiple sports facilities in the area including Epping Tennis Club and The Connaught Club.

‘We can never fully express how much your assistance means to our hard-working team of volunteers – thank you from the bottom of our hearts!’
