As part of their topic of Festivals, Owls learned about Hanukkah. After watching a recording about how and why Hanukkah is celebrated they role played the 8 days of the festival with Mrs Potts lighting candles in the Menorah. Afterwards, they drew their own candles on a menorah, deciding whether to draw burning or unlit candles.
The next day, Reception were very lucky to have a visit from a Hollie’s Nanna who talked to them about Hanukkah. At the end she kindly gave everyone a dreidel to keep.
