3CO have enjoyed lots of creative English and Maths lessons this term. In Maths, they explored 3-D shapes and enjoyed challenging themselves to construct a variety of shapes using cocktail sticks and sweets. They needed to use lots of resilience and team work skills during this lesson but they were very proud of their results.
In English, 3CO have been exploring different poem types to celebrate National Poetry Day and made excellent use of the school grounds during a rhyming word hunt. Each child was given a word and they had to ‘hunt’ outside to find their matching rhyming word. This really helped the children to think of rhyming words to use in their poems and the children had lots of fun whilst learning!
