Last Friday, pupils at Oaklands had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day. They all dressed up as their favourite book characters, and we had some great costumes. Pupils of all ages joined in by dressing up and taking part in plenty of book-related activities throughout the day.
This World Book Day, 500,000 children in the UK don’t own a book, and the number of children enjoying the benefits of reading is in sharp decline. World Book Day exists to support all children to experience the joy of reading. We were happy to support World Book Day this year!
