Oaklands pupils always perform amazingly in SportsHall Athletics competitions, and this was another example of our pupils’ potential.
We won a lot of the track events, with some expert baton relaying taking place! In the field events, their practice in the Oak-Tree and house events certainly helped them prepare and work wonders. Thiaan managed to get the top score out of 8 schools in the triple jump and vertical jump, along with Annabelle and Alex in the Speed bounce events.
In a very tense results presentation, we realised we were either 1st or 2nd, and we just fell agonisingly short with the runner up spot. Nonetheless, the children were absolutely incredible and can be extremely proud of their achievements!
