Year 4’s trip to the Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge

We are thrilled to share the highlights from our most recent trip to the Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge in Year 4. The children had an incredible time immersing themselves into the fascinating world of the Tudors.

Dressed in Tudor costumes, the children felt like they had stepped back in time as they explored the beautifully restored Tudor house in Chingford. They discovered the unique features of each floor, learning about the different activities that took place in the various rooms. From the kitchens where meals were prepared to the living spaces where families gathered and hosted grand dinner parties, the children really gained a deeper understanding of Tudor daily life.

The trip also included engaging discussions about the types of food consumed during the Tudor period, sparking curiosity and lively conversations among the children. This hands-on experience truly brought history to life, enriching our classroom studies.
