The children in Lower Kindergarten have been learning all about ‘Transport’. They had the opportunity to go down to the carpark to see a real van!
Miss Collins showed the children the different parts of the van including the engine, oil, water, windscreen wipers and headlights. Each child sat in the driver’s seat and had a go at turning the steering wheel, all with the engine off, handbrake on and their key worker supervising!
Afterwards, the children were provided with sponges, cloths and a bucket of soapy water to clean our big toy cars. The children were excited to put on their waterproof aprons and used big arm movements to wash and wipe the vehicles.
