Year 3 are currently in the process of presenting their Topic homework about the Ancient Romans. Some of the children created wonderfully detailed villas, reminiscent of those that would have existed in Ancient Rome; while others chose to explore mosaics, interpreting ancient designs with their own choice of tesserae.
More bloodthirsty entries included swords, shields and ceremonial daggers, worthy of any legion. Of course, the Romans loved luxury and used honey in a great many recipes, so it is no surprise that some of the children – in true Bake Off style – tried their hand at baking honey biscuits, much loved by the people of Ancient Rome. We’re sure any number of Romans would have enjoyed eating them while playing the game ‘Rise of Empires.’
