A Day of Remembrance

Last week pupils from Reception to Year 6 worked on a wonderful project in aid of Remembrance Day. Each child were given the opportunity to make a poppy in remembrance of all the men and women of their armed forced who have died in the line of duty in World War I. Armistice Day marks the date and time when armies stopped fighting World War I on November 11th at 11am in 1918 (the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month).

We had a wonderful Remembrance Assembly this morning lead by Mrs Rathbone and at 11 we held our 2 minute silence in the playground.
