Transition carried out a whole day of fun activities to celebrate Chinese New Year. As it is the year of the dog, the children made a lantern using a paper cup and decorated it to look like a furry friend, using material for the ears. They learnt that red envelopes are given as a gift to wish others a Happy New Year and inside the envelopes is money. The children then had a go at creating their own envelopes by cutting a template and carefully folding. They also did some coin rubbing to make their own money to add to their envelope.
