Year 1 Lego Workshop

As part of their new topic on Oaklands School and the local environment, Year 1 had a visit from Mrs Wood and her Lego Workshop. The children learnt about building foundations and why bricks were overlapped to make buildings strong. They built their own sturdy building, chose what their building should be, and where it would be placed in the town The children also were given the chance to add extra things into the town such as traffic lights, speed cameras and lamp posts. 1S called their town Rainbow Town.
